Amarillo Girl Preparatory Choir – Weekly Note

 

WELCOME

Welcome back to another exciting year in the Amarillo Girl Choir!  Congratulations to the new girls who are joining us this year.

 

Mandatory fundraiser - PRINTED PROGRAM ADS – Due today

                All printed program ad sales are due today, August 25th.  The minimum requirement is $120 in sales.  A buy-out option of $90 is available for those AYC members who chose not to sell ads.

 

AUDITION NOW YARD SIGNS – Check-out today

                We have one last round of auditions on August 28th and 29th from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephen UMC.  We are asking your help with advertising this great organization to your neighbors and friends by placing a yard sign in your yard and/or place of business.  You may check-out a sign today during rehearsal.  We will check the signs back in at our next rehearsal, Sept. 8th. 

 

Optional fundraiser - COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER – Starts today

                Our first fundraiser will be Red Apple cookie dough.  The cookie dough will sell for $12 each and you will earn 50% of every product you sell.  The fundraising information is attached to the hard copy of the weekly note.  Please have you order completed with all monies collected and ready to turn in at rehearsal on Monday, September 15th no later than 6:30 p.m.  Late orders will not be accepted.  The cookie dough will arrive frozen and will be available for pickup on Monday, October 13th.  We cannot store the frozen products, so be sure that you are available for pickup.

 

Next Monday - LABOR DAY HOLIDAY – September 1, 2008

Due to the Labor Day holiday, we will not meet on Mon., Sept. 1st.  We will continue our rehearsals the following Mon., Sept 8th.

 

UNIFORM CHECK-OUT – Monday, September 15, 2008

                We will check out uniforms (burgundy AGC polo shirt) on Monday, September 15th during rehearsal.  Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.  If you are unable to attend rehearsal on September 15th, please contact AGC’s Uniform Chairman, Kathy Martin, 382-0265, immediately to make fitting arrangements.  Each choir member will need her uniform for the group and individual photos to be taken on September 27th.

 

UNIFORM CLOSET

                If your daughter needs navy shoes, the uniform closet does have many “gently used” shoes available on a first come, first serve basis.  For more information, please contact Kathy Martin, 382-0265 or the AYC office, 372-1100. 

 

PICTURES – Saturday, September 27th

Photographer Steve Satterwhite will be taking group and individual pictures on Saturday, September 27th, 11 a.m., at the American Quarter Horse Association located at 2601 I-40 East and Quarter Horse Drive.  Please have your daughter dressed in full uniform (burgundy AGC polo shirt, navy skirt, navy braided belt, navy tights, and navy shoes).
