Rod Zeman is beginning his first year as the choir director at Crockett Middle School in Amarillo, Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music from West Texas A & M University and previously taught choir at Tascosa High School for five years, Bonham Middle School for four years, and Dumas Junior High School for one year. He was previously the associate artistic director of the Amarillo Youth Choirs for four years, and is proud to be back for his second year as associate artistic director. In addition, Rod has been an on-air radio personality, a worship leader, and a judge at UIL choir contests in Texas. He is a member of the Texas Choral Directors’ Association, the Texas Music Educators’ Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators’ Association.
Mr. Zeman is married to Kim, who is an English teacher at Tascosa High School. They have one son, Zach, who sang in the Amarillo Boy Choir for six years. Zach currently is majoring in Music at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
